Definition of multiplication
Multiplication is repeated addition.

Examples
Leo gives each of his siblings 5 candies. If he has 3 siblings, what is the total number f candies he gave away?
No. of siblings: 3
No. of candies to each: 5
So, 3+3+3+3+3 = 15
So, 3 multiplied by 5 is 15.
NOTE: MULTIPLICATION FACTS CAN BE REVERSED.
AS, THREE TIMES FIVE, AND FIVE TIMES THREE IS FIFTEEN.

Collections of multiplicated numbers is called tables. For example:
1x1=1
1x2=2
1x3=3
1x4=4
1x5=5
