2b) No Decimals in Fractions!

Count the decimal places of either the top or the bottom

Multiply the top and bottom with 10 for removing 1 decimal place, or

Multiply the top and bottom with 100 for removing 2 decimal places

e.g.  $\frac{0.25}{0.525}$  

Consider the number which has more decimal places

In this example, it is the bottom number (i.e. 0.525)

What should we do now then?

0.525 has 3 decimal places

 $\frac{0.25\ \times1000}{0.525\times1000}$
