The Metamorphosis Ch. 1 Review

Consider Gregor as a person. What was life like before his change? Was he like a "bug" at all in his previous life?

What do you think about Gregor's family? What about the relationships within the family?

How would you characterize Gregor so far? What are some thinks we learn about his life and personality from before his transformation and in the early stages of this change?

What does Gregor's office manager seem to represent in this opening section of the test? How does he behave and what do you think of his as a character?

What do you think about the novella so far? Which thematic topic interests you the most? Do you see context as an important factor in understanding this rather bizarre text? Why or why not?
