What is reflection?

What objects reflect light?

What is happening to light when it gets reflected?

When we look at an object, whatever color we see is the color that is being reflected back to us.

Objects that appear white are reflecting ALL colors of visible light.

What does it mean to absorb something? (think about a sponge)

Absorption happens when an object doesn't reflect certain colors of visible light back to us.

Objects that appear black absorb ALL colors of visible light.
