Let's review a little from yesterday...
(verb tenses)

Present, Past, and Future Tenses
The PRESENT tense refers to an action that is happening now.
The PAST tense refers to an action that already happened and is already over.
The FUTURE tense refers to an action that has not happened yet.

PRESENT TENSE
Usually, if the noun is SINGULAR, the verb ends in "s":
The dog barks.
If the noun is PLURAL, the verb does not end in "s":
The dogs bark.

PAST TENSE
To turn a REGULAR verb into its past tense, add -ed at the end.
Sometimes, you will need to drop the final e, or change y to i, or double a consonant. Watch out!
drop --> dropped
carry --> carried
walk --> walked
cope --> coped

FUTURE TENSE
To form a verb's future tense, add "will" or "shall" to the ORIGINAL verb.
will go / shall go
will talk / shall talk
will think / shall think

To form the participles of the verbs, use HELPING VERBS.

PRESENT PARTICIPLE
Use is/am/are and add -ing to the verb.
I am eating.
He is working.
She is thinking.
They are cooperating.

PAST PARTICIPLE
Use has/have/had with the past tense of the verb.
I have walked.
The cat has purred.
They had caught a fish.
