AR Verb Conjugation Introduction

In Spanish we conjugate verbs to show who is doing the action.

For example: Yo hablo - means I talk

The verb in the inifinitive form is hablar

This is why it is important to know your personal pronouns

In English we use: I, You, He, She, We, and They

In Spanish we use: Yo, Tú, Él, Ella, UstedNosotros/as and Ustedes, Ellos, Ellas

To conjugate we follow a formula

We look at the infinitive form of the verb:

Take off the "ar" ending

And put in place the ending the signifies who is doing the action

Yo -o............................................... Nosotros/as - amos

Tú - as

Él, Ella, Usted - a .................... Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes - an

Take the verb "hablar" - to speak - in it's infinitive nonconjugated form

Take off the ending - in this case "ar" - so habl

And look to see whos doing the action

Malachi talks = He talks

Él habla
