there is or there´s : se utiliza para decir que hay una sola persona o cosa.

e.g: there is a person in the office.

e.g: there is a picture on the wall.

there isn´t : se utiliza para aclarar que no hay una persona o cosa.

e.g: there isn´t a person in the office

e.g: there isn´t a picture on the wall

se utliza para decir que hay dos o más personas o cosas.

e.g: there are two people in the office

e.g: there some people in the office

e.g: there are five apples in the fridge

se utiliza para decir que no hay dos o mas personas o cosas.

e.g: there aren´t two teachers at school

e.g: there aren´t five students at school

e.g: there aren´t any teachers at school

e.g: there aren´t any apples in the fridge

para preguntar si hay una cosa o persona:

e.g: Is there an apple in the fridge? yes, there is/ no, there isn´t

e.g: Is there a teacher at school? yes, there is/ no, there isn´t

e.g: Are there teachers at school? yes, there are/ no, there aren´t.
