5.3I/J Multiply and Divide Fractions by whole #

Today's Objective: We will solve multiplication of a whole number and a fraction that refers to the same whole.

Fraction- a numerical quantity that is not a whole number (e.g. 1/2, 0.5). or a small or tiny part, amount of something.

Whole numbers- Any of the numbers {0, 1, 2, 3, ...} etc.

There is no fractional or decimal part. And no negatives.

Example: 5, 49 and 980 are all whole numbers.

Product-The answer when two or more values (factors) are multiplied together.

Simplify-To simplify (or reduce) a fraction means to make it as simple as possible.

A fraction less than one is split into smaller parts

The result is a fraction less than the original fraction
