Science behind fireworks!

Today, we will be taking observations of light emitted by different chemical samples.

These chemicals are extremely useful in creating different color combinations in fireworks and other light displays.

During the video, think about the characteristics of each light wave! Is each light wave the same? Or do they have different properties?

In the video, each chemical sample emitted a different color of visible light.

Depending on the chemical, the waves emitted had unique wave properties.

Based on the frequency/wavelength of the wave, we perceive the color of light differently.
