What is a Community?
A group of people with common aims and interests. They can live together, work together and spend their time together. In a community all the members are equally important. Even though they are different, they all contribute to the wellbeing of the community.

How do you have to behave to contribute in the community?
Show Empathy (put yourself in the shoes of others)
Respect everyone (Listen, consider, give importance)
Show Tolerance (Be patient, do not get angry)
Be Honest (Tell the truth, do not lie)
Accept Diversity (Accept differences)

Active Participation is the key to live in a Community
At Home (Family). Help parents and brothers and sisters.
At School. Give opinions, behave properly, play, do Team Work
In the Neighborhood or City. Do volunteering work. Clean the environment, obey traffic signs, etc.

Rights and Duties in a Community
The Rights are the benefits and the Duties are the Obligations. For every right there is always an obligation; for example: You have the right to have a good education and the duty to study, be responsible and pay attention.

Children need a special protection for their Rights
In the past children were not recognized as human beings with rights; they were not protected and they did not receive necessary cares.

All the children in the world have these rights
Adults decisions have to include the respect for children
Every child has the right to live and develop in a healthy way
Children can participate, they can say what they think and be considered

Examples of Children Rights
Right to have a Name and a Nationality
Right to have your own Culture, Language and Religion
Right for Not being discriminated
Right for not doing hard work
Right to rest, play and practice sports

Who protects the Children Rights?
The whole society must protect the Children Rights. Family and State have the obligation to make people respect these rights. Also, children and adolescents have the responsibility to know and demand them.
