Que es la formula general?

Es una formula grande que se presentan grandes casos y de ahi, se derivan otras formulas. De ahi el nombre de formula general. Se emplea para resolver ecuaciones cuadraticas.

Estructura de la ecuacion

$ax^2+bx+c=0$

Como resolver problemas usando la formula general

Hay que recordar la estructura de la ecuacion cuadratica y extraer los datos. Por ejemplo:

6x^2-3x-5=0

a= 6 b= -3 c= -5
Por lo tanto:

\frac{-\left(-3\right)\pm\sqrt{\left(-3\right)^2-4\left(6\right)\left(-5\right)}}{2\left(6\right)}

=

\frac{3\pm\sqrt{9+120}}{12}

=

\frac{3\pm\sqrt{129}}{12}

=

\frac{3\pm11.35}{12}

x1=

\frac{3+11.35}{12}=1.95

x2=

\frac{3-11.35}{12}=-0.69
