Cur vos ibi sedetis? Why are you all sitting there?

Nos iam strenue laboramus. We are already working hard.

Nos dormire volumus. We want to sleep.

sed ego volo consulere Marcum! But I want to consult Marcus!

Romam redire nolo. I don't want to return to Rome.

cur tu solus non surgis? Why are you alone not getting up?

Cur, Marce, hodie me vexas? Why, Marcus, are you annoying me today?

Cur nondum tunicam et togam induis? Why are you not putting on your tunic and toga yet?

ego surgo - I get up

tu surgis - you get up

(servus) surgit - he/she gets up (or sg. noun subject)

nos surgimus - we get up

vos surgitis - you all get up

(servi) surgunt - they get up (or plural noun subject)
