Kim Bora, who is in his late twenties, is one of the best Kun Khmer boxers at the present time. He is a younger brother of a Cambodian SEA GAMES 2017 Muay Thai gold medalist, Kim Dima.

He was born in Banteay Meanchey province. He started training Kun Khmer with his father (coach) since he was very young. His father did not expect Bora to become any champions in any events due to his sickly childhood. His father only wanted him to train to be stronger.

In general, he trains for three hours per day by going jogging for one hour and kicking, punching, kneeing and elbowing for two hours. Besides his father, he also has his champion brother to help train him in Phnom Penh before the matching day.

Despite his success, he did not start out well. He used to lose most of his fights owing to his unfit health. However, he has gone through a despairing stage and hardship in his career and made an incredible breakthrough to become one of the best Kun Khmer boxers, who has never been defeated yet in 2020 and 2021, currently.

He says he has almost given up his career so many times. Nonetheless, his wife, brother and father have kept encouraging him to go on training without placing any pressure on him. As he constantly keeps training harder and harder, he gains more and more stamina. As a result, he can perfectly box for whole five rounds and have won three belts within six months and other prizes in 2020.

He strongly hopes to present himself at ONE ring, which is one of the biggest international rings in Asia, to bring pride to Cambodia and announce this country to the world.

His greatest suggestions are “Once you have determined your goals, go for them. Don’t rush, instead go gradually.” He even adds, “There are a lot of obstacles along the path. They’ll disappear naturally as you go on and on moving toward your goals.”
