Why Teach For America?

I was not an education major but I did have experience in education.
I had no clue where to start in getting my teaching license.
Social Justice.
Provide opportunities for students to see a Latinx woman in education.

What do I teach?

I teach 7th grade Spanish
I also teach intervention/enrichment to a group of students
Right now I'm teaching culture - afro-cubano culture to be exact through a study of Celia Cruz

Some of the highs

We have worked through so much vocabulary so far and my students are showing OFF daily.
