She was also influenced by surrealism, allegory, religion and nature

Her art often challenged ideas in patriarchy

Most of her artwork are installations and sculpture

But she is also active in painting, performance, film, fashion, poetry, fiction...

The dots in her work are inspired my hallucinations she began having as a child

She studied traditional Japanese art, but was more interested in European and American avante-garde

She climbed the Brooklyn Bridge clad in a dotted leotard in protest of war and capitalism
