Conjunctions
A conjunction joins two words, ideas, phrases, or clauses together in a sentence and shows how they are connected.

AND
It is used to connect similar ideas or sentences.
Example:
I have a house and a car.
They are learning English and French.
Joseph ate a hot dog and French Fries.

Joining Sentences with AND
James studied for the exam.
James cleaned the house.
James studied for the exam and cleaned the house.

BUT
It is used to connect opposite ideas.
Examples:
He is smart but he is rude.
I like my English class but I don't like my classmates.
I want a new cellphone but I don't have money.

SO
It is used to express the result of a previous action mentioned.
Examples:
I was tired, so I went to bed early.
She finished working, so she went shopping.
I have money so I will buy a cellphone.
*The first sentences are the actions and the second sentences are the results of them.

OR
It is used to suggest that you have a choice or election between one thing or the other.
Examples:
I will go shopping or I will go to study.
I am going to eat pizza or a burguer.
I will study Law or Medicine.
