Past Perfect Notes

Is a verb tense used to talk about actions that were completed before some point in the past. It is used to make it clear that one event happened before another in the past.

HAD....

examples-had spoken, had talked, had eaten (IN ENGLISH)

yo- había nosotros- habíamos

tú- habías

singular- había plural- habían

Example sentences-

1. Yo había comido antes de ir al cine.

I had eaten before going to the movies.

2. Yo había hablado con la profesora de la tarea.

I had spoken with the professor about the homework.
