Our Sense Organs

• Our body is a system, made of parts.

• Some of those parts are sense organs.

• These sense organs send messages to our brain.

• The function of the sense organs is to help our brain learn about the world.

Our Five Senses

• We can see colors, sizes, and shapes.

• We can hear if something is loud or quiet, high or low.

• We can feel if something is soft or hard, hot or cold.

• We can taste if something is sweet, sour, or salty.

• We can smell if something is fresh or stinky.

We use our sense to make observations.

• The water is blue. I saw it with my eyes.

• The water is cold. I felt it with my fingers.

• The water is salty. I tasted it with my tongue.

• The water is loud. I heard it with my ears.

• The water is briny. I smelled it with my nose.
