Using auxiliaries to avoid repetition
grammar in context

2
We often replace verbs and verb phrases with an auxiliary verb to avoid repeating a verb or verb phrase that has already been used.
3
For example
Not many people in my program of study have also worked in nonprofits, but I have.
4
We can also use a form of have or do + so.
This is usually in more formal contexts and only when referring to a topic that was PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED.
5
Example:
I'm eager to apply these skills in arts education and very much look forwards to doing so.
