Persuasive Body Paragraphs

This is the first sentence of your paragraph. This tells the reader which point you are going to discuss.

Example:

Giving students longer breaks prevents Zoom learning fatigue.

This is where you give more information about your topic.

Example:

Zoom earning fatigue happens when students spend long periods of time on Zoom meetings. Symptoms include difficulty concentrating, physical exhaustion, anxiety when entering or participating in a meeting, irritability, headache, and eye strain.

This is where you provide facts that back up your information.

Example:

According to the National Education Association, our brains are used to picking up body language and other cues that are experienced during face-to-face communication. On a video call, something is off, and our subconscious brain is reacting to that. Communication isn’t in real time, even though we may think it is.

This is when you link back to your main point of the essay.

Example:

When we allow students to have longer breaks, they are given a chance to rest their eyes and their brains. They may also be given a chance to have real-time conversations with those around them. This will help them be better learners during Zoom classes.
