They are often shown with descriptive adjectives, like patient, faithful, or jealous.

Values- Generosity, Kindness, Patience, Fairness

Dark Side- Dishonesty, Rudeness, Selfishness

Leadership- Confidence Enthusiasm Bossy

Our job as readers is to draw a conclusion about the character's traits from what the character says, thinks, and does. 

When identifying character traits we should look at them from the inside and outside

Some examples would be: outside- short, freckled, brown hair

Inside: brave, smart, caring, honest
