Dialogue is the term for the words that people say or the thoughts that people have.

When we write, we put dialogue in quotation marks “ ”.

Dialogue in a text is used to develop the events in the chapter and show the responses of characters to situations.

Dialogue- conversation between two or more people as a feature of a book, play, or movie

Most of the characters’ actions and reactions are revealed through dialogue. It is important for us to know how to read dialogue and to notice how the author uses dialogue tags to show characters’ responses and reactions.
