Concluding Paragraph

Use your itroductory paragraph as a guide.

If it is a longer paper, a good place to start is by looking at what each paragraph is about.

Leave your reader on something to think about.

If a brilliant idea pops in your head, keep it out of the concluding paragraph

Don't restate the thesis statement

Each topic in your story should be mentioned in the essay

The closing sentence should be pleasing to the reader

beginning with unnecessary, overused prases.

Stating the thesis for the very first time.

introducing a new idea or subtopic in your conclusion.

making sentimetal, emotional appeals that are out of character with the rest of the paper.

including evidence (quotations, statistics, etc.) that should be in the body of the paper.
