Addition Property of Equality
States that 2 sides of an equation stay equal when the same amount is added to both sides of the equation.
Example: (5+3)+2=8 +2

Subtraction Property of Equality
states that when you subtract the same amount from both sides of an equation, the two sides of the equation stay equal
Example: 5+3=8
5+3-2=8-2

Multiplication Property of Equality
states that when you multiply the same amount from both sides of an equation, the two sides of the equation stay equal
Example: 5+3=8
(5+3) ×2 =8 ×2

states that when you divide the same non zero amount, the two sides of the equation stay equal
