I can see from this title that we

will learn about a way that Teddy was a leader. I see a sidebar on this page

with a quote from Teddy Roosevelt. It says, “When you play, play hard.

When you work, don’t play at all.” It tells what kind of a person and leader

Teddy Roosevelt was. If I flip over to the next page, I read the subheading

“Good Timing.” I know that authors use subheadings within a chapter to

help divide a longer chapter into smaller sections. Each section has its own

focus. On pages 4 and 5, I see pictures of Teddy’s father and mother. The

captions tell us that Teddy’s father was named Theodore and his mother

was named Martha.
