Carefully read the argument below to answer the questions.

The earning potential of a high school graduate is higher than that of a high school drop-out. First, students who drop out of high school will usually not earn as much money as those who receive a high school diploma. For example, researchers at the University of South Florida looked at the annual incomes of five hundred people who dropped out of high school and the annual incomes of five hundred people who earned a high school diploma. The average income of a high school graduate was 30% higher than high school drop-outs. Even though there are some individuals who have become successful without earning a high school diploma, these individuals are rare exceptions. Don’t you agree that it is important to graduate from high school and earn a diploma?

In the argument above, what is the claim?
