Hieroglyphics was used for thousands of years!

And then no one in Egypt could read the hieroglyphics!

I wish I knew what these symbols meant!

A French soldier found a huge rock buried in the ground

The stone contained 3 languages

Hieroglyphics was at the top

And Greek was at the bottom

​Historians could read Greek!

Yay! Problem solved?

Now they could understand everything that was written in Egypt!
