Terminating decimals have a repeating zero or a clear ending number

Convert everything to decimals or fractions with the same denominators then order or compare

Example:  $0.\overline{15}_{\ \ }.........\frac{3}{20}$  

                  $0.\overline{15}\ \ >\ 0.15$  

Example:  $-4.08,\ \frac{1}{3},\ -\ \frac{2}{5},\ 0.5$  

Order least to greatest

                 $-4.08,\ -0.4,\ 0.\overline{3},\ 0.5$  

The distance from zer

When solving absolute value, the answer is ALWAYS positive

Example:  $\left|-7\right|=7$  

Example:  $\left|5\right|=5$  

Example:  $\left|-8\right|-\left|3\right|=$  

                      $8-3=5$  

Example:  $\left|11+3\right|=14$  

Identify where the point is on the number line

Next, identify what integer that point represents

Quadrants are labeled counter clockwise

x-axis is horizontal (left to right)

y-axis is vertical (up and down)

(x,y)

if the x coordinate is negative - go left

if the y coordinate is negative - go down
