Plurals

Pluralul substantivelor in engleza se realizeaza adaugand „s” la finalul cuvantului:

EG: a/one bird

tow birds

Substantivele terminate in s/ss/sh/ch/x/o , adauga la plural „es”:

EG: one box

tow boxes

! Exceptie: radio , piano , photo , video + es

Substantivele terminate in consoana si „y” transformau y=i apoi adauga „es”:

EG: baby , cherry

babies , cherries

! boy-boys pentru ca este vocala+y

Substantivele terminate in „f si fe” se transforma f=v apoi adauga „es”:

EG: leaf-leaves

! cliff si girafe + „es”

Substantivele neregulate au forme speciale la plural:

mouse/mice , man/men , persone/pipole , child/children , sheep/sheep , foot/feet , tooth/theet , woman/women , goose/gees , fish/fish , deer/deer , ox/oxen .
