MESSAGE CREATION - PUT YOUR PLAN INTO ACTION (What is your message? How will you share that?)

​CREATE YOUR CAMPAIGN

• What can you do to make a difference here at school? EVERYONE NEEDS TO CONTRIBUTE TO CAMPAIGN.

• Be POSITIVE, provide facts and sources to help those affected!

• Be CLEAR about your purpose!

  • The MESSAGE should be a positive point you are trying to make based on the fact.​

• Know your audience!

• ​Don't be overly creative! (be clever, not overwhelming!)

• INSPIRE CHANGE, not make people sad... Don't talk down, insult, or scold.​

• Contact counselors/deans/social workers on what you could do to help​ (provide resources, create options for the Reconnection room, give ideas for ways to get help to students)

• School announcements, video announcements

• Write poetry

MESSAGE CREATION PRACTICE

Take a FACT and put a POSITIVE spin on it to let others know what you would SAY to them.... using the fact to back it up. What behavior do you want to see, based on that fact. AVOID "DON'T..."
