Today you will learn about punctuation!
Every sentence must have punctuation.
There are a lot of types of punctuation. You will learn about some on the next slide.

Types of punctuation
Comma: Used with in a sentence to make a sentence complete, and not run-on. For example, a comma can be used between list items or clauses.
Period, ends a sentence or a quote. A period is not the only end punctuation. A period ends a sentence with a statement.
Exclamation mark: An exclamation mark also ends a sentence or a quote, but it ends a sentence where some one is exclaming something like "Oh no!"
Question mark: A question mark ends a sentence or quote, but it will ask a question like "When will this quiz be over?"
Colon: A colon can be used with in a sentence to introduce a list or a topic. You may have noticed that I used a colon to introduce all of the punctuation marks.
