Would, Would Like, Would Rather

to express suggestions and preferences.

is used to ask the question. It is followed by the base form of the verb (it does NOT have the infinitive: "to").

Example: Would you go to the movies with me?

is used to make a suggestion. It is followed by the infinitive "to" then the base form of the verb.

Example: Would you like to play on my volleyball team!?

is used to express a preference. It is followed by the base form of the verb (it does NOT have the infinitive: "to").

Example: I would rather eat tacos and not pizza.
