Fresh water can also be obtained by Desalination.

It is the removal of salt from sea water.

Environment.

Increase in population: as the population increase the need for fresh water increase too, and water problems start emerging.

Climate change: rising temperature on Earth increase evaporation and lead to greater loss of water.

Depletion of aquifers: people tend to fight over water and start using pumps to extract water from aquifers.

Aquifers: are natural reservoirs of underground water such as rocks and sand.
