2
Market Math!
Now it is time to figure out how much our dinners will cost.
You should have completed the Google Form to plan for how many people are coming to your dinner.
3
Poll
How many people did you plan for?
4 people
6 people
8 people
4
Turkey Price
First we will take the price of the turkey per pound.
How much is this turkey per pound?
5
Next we need to determine how many pounds we need.
So if you have invited 8 people, this chart says you need 8 pounds of turkey.
6
To find the total cost of the turkey, we multiply the number of pounds times the price.
$0.98 x 8 = $7.84
7
Multiple Choice
If a turkey costs $0.98 a pound, how much would a 6 lb turkey be? ($0.98 x 6 = ? )
$5.88
$3.92
8
Now let's try it with green beans.
$0.50 per can of beans
4 cans
$0.50 x 4 = ?
9
