Personification is when you give someone or some thing(other than human beings) humans traits.

E.g.The book was dancing

E.g.The animals were dancing

E.g.The trees were talking

simile is the comparison of two or more unlikely things with using as or like.

E.g.You are as blind as a bat

E.g.You are as brave as a lion

E.g.You are like a beautiful tree

Metaphor is the comparison of two unlike things without the use of as and like

E.g.You are a lion

E.g.You are my cheeta

E.g.He has a heart of gold

Imagery refers to the five senses that are

Visual imagery (sight)

Auditory imagery (hearing)

Olfactory imagery (smell)

Gustatory imagery (taste)

Tactile imagery (touch)
