Converting radians to degrees

2
Converting radians to degrees
Start with given 5Π. Apply conversion factor : 180 degrees = Π 0r 2Π = 360 degrees. Multiply by the conversion factor so that the units cancel.
Ex. 5Π rad x 360º = 900º
.........................2Π rad
Be careful if radians are given in decimal or as an expression of pi. Don't assume pi is there unless it is written!
3
converting degrees to radians
Start with given 90.º. Apply conversion factor : 180 degrees = Π 0r 2Π = 360 degrees. Multiply by the conversion factor so that the units cancel.
Ex. 90.º x 2Π rad = .5Π = 1. 6 rad
..................360º
In Physics, generally radians are given in decimal rather than as an expression of pi.
