Factors are the two numbers that we multiply

We multiply two factors to get a product

3 groups of 2 is 6

7groups of 3 is 21

4 groups of 4 is 16

We start at 0 and then skip count in equal groups until we find the product. 3x6=?

We can use arrays to model multiplication. You can use the columns and rows to show the factors and the total number is the product.

The commutative property says that the order of the factors does not matter, they will still give the same product.
