Octaves
An OCTAVE is the series of eight notes occupying the interval between (and including) two notes.
From C to C is an octave. From F to F is an octave.
For this presentation, we will be focusing on octaves from C to C only.
3
Octaves
There are many octaves on a full-sized piano keyboard. Each octave from C to C is labeled with a number.
Note that the notes A and B that come before the first C are labeled as A0 and B0, but the first full octave starts with C1. The notes that follow are also labeled with a 1, until the next C, C2.
