Example: Linda is an intelligent girl.

Noun: girl

An adverb is a word that gives us more information about a verb, an adjective, another adverb, or a whole sentence.

Example: The old lady drove slowly to town.

Adverb: slowly

The modified word: drove (verb)

Example: She was very careful.

Adverb: very

The modified word: careful (adjective)
