Unit Conversions

1 day = 24 hours

2 days = 1 day times 2

24 hours x 2 = 48 hours

Step 1: Find a relationship between the 2 units you're converting

Example: 1 day = 24 hours

Step 2: set your relationship up as a fraction, with the unit you're converting TO on TOP and FROM on BOTTOM.

Example: We are going from days to hours 

Step 3: Multiply what you're going from by your relationship

Example:  $\frac{2\ days}{1}\times\frac{24\ hours}{1\ day}=\frac{48}{1}\ =\ 48\ hours$

Remember to put what youre going from on bottom of relationship and what you're going to on top.
