What are Phrasal Verbs?
A phrasal verb is a verb that is made up of a main verb together with an adverb or a preposition or both
Typically, their meaning is not obvious from the meanings of the individual words themselves

Sometimes, a phrasal verb can have more than one meaning. How to know them all? Memorize them!
For example: The phrase work out could have multiple meanings
To WORK OUT - to exercise
I WORK OUT at the gym at least three times a week.
To WORK OUT - to understand
Ferdinand can never WORK OUT how to use the photocopier.
To WORK OUT - to be successful
Our plan WORKED OUT fine.
