Labradors are sweet and goofy dogs. They are named after the Labrador sea! They have thick coats that have two layers! The first layer is actually water proof! Labradors LOVE swimming, so they have a water proof coat to help them stay dry. Labradors love water and will most likely play in any water they find!

Labradors were bred to hunt ducks and other birds! They were trained to go after a duck and bring it back to the hunter. Labs are perfect for this because their swimming abilities and sensitive noses can get get almost any duck!!
