How have we seen Abbas's character grow/degrade over the novel? Overall, how do you feel about his character here at the end of the novel?

Overall what did you think of the end of the novel? Satisfied? Angry? Unsure? Why?

Last class many of you stated that you thought the characters got what they deserved. In what ways did other characters "get what they deserve"? Pick 1-2 and state how they got their "come up its".

On the inverse, was there a character that didn't "get what they deserved". If so, who? What was their transgression?

Reflect on the last line of the novel, "I will be patient so long as I live, for do not all things have their end? Oh yes, everything comes to its end its nihaya. And the word for this in English is 'end' and it is spelled E-N-D."
