There are two parts of a verb
The first part is the STEM. This is what comes before the ending.
The last part is the ENDING. This is either your -AR, -ER, or -IR ending.

How and why do we conjugate?
Conjugating is the act of simply saying WHO is doing a specific verb.
In English, we don't do a whole lot of conjugating. For example:
I run, you run, we run
In Spanish, we are more clear about who is doing the verb. To determine who is doing a specific verb, the verb must CHANGE or be CONJUGATED.

Conjugating verbs that end in -AR
To conjugate an AR verb, you simply drop the AR ending and add these endings depending on who is doing the action.
