O sentido está sempre de acordo com a regra da mão direita, então $F_{mag}$
"brota" da palma da mão.
Usamos pensando em uma carga positiva. Quando for negativa o sentido da força será oposto ao obtido.
a intensidade da força é dada por $F_{mag}=\left|q\right|\ \cdot v\ \cdot B\ \cdot\sin\theta$

Pontos importantes

Se
$\theta\ =\ 0°\ \ ou\ \ 180°$ então a força magnética é nula. O campo magnético, portanto, não atua em partículas que se move em sua direção.
Se $v\ =\ 0$ então a força magnética também é nula.
Se $\theta=\ 90°$ então a força magnética é máxima e igual a $F_{mag}=\left|q\right|\ \cdot v\cdot B$
Se $q\ =\ 0$ então a força magnética é nula
