Lets refresh your memorty before we begin: What is an atom, element, and a compound
To put it simply in chemistry, an ELEMENT is a pure substance which cannot be broken down by chemical means, consisting of smaller ATOMS, a compound is 2 or more elements COMBINED an example of a COMPOUND, a compound is not the same thing as an alloy, a compound is irreverable whereas an alloy isnt, if had a 10 karrat gold bar, it means other metals are in it, thats an alloy, and alloy can be turned back into a single metal. Not very put simply but better than nothing.

What is the difference between a compound and an alloy
A compound is a metal combined with another metal but an alloy is gold mixed with another rock
a compound is a way that elements could be bonded through chemical reactions and doesnt even have to be a metal whereas an alloy has to include at least 1 metal
A compound is a metal mixed with a metal that is unbindable whereas an alloy is two rocks molten and mixed together to form one and can then be seperated using machinery
