Their four basic functions are WRITING, EDITING, FORMATTING, AND PRINTING.

Basic Features of Word Processors
Word Wrap - Starts new lines when you continue typing.
Pagination - Automatically starts new pages.
AutoCorrect - fixes common spelling mistakes as they are typed.
AutoRecover or AutoSave automatically saves your work.

Selecting Text
To select text, all you have to do is click and drag your cursor/mouse across the text you wish to edit, move, or delete.

Cutting, Copying, and Pasting
Clipboard - Stores cut or copied text while you work.
Paste (CTRL+V) command inserts an item copied or cut to the clipboard.
The CUT command (CTRL+X) removes the selected text from a document and places it on the clipboard.
The COPY (CTRL+C) command places a duplicate of the selected text on the Clipboard.

UNDO AND REDO
These commands allow the user to undo a mistake or redo as needed.
Undo = CTRL+Z
Redo = CTRL+Y
