Present simple plural (Yes/No questions)

To make questions in present simple we will use two types of questions: Yes / No questions and Wh- questions.

Yes/ No questions always answer with a yes or a no.

Order:

DO + I / YOU / WE / THEY + VERB + ?

Do you speak English?

Do they live in a house?

Do we like to cook?

Do they listen to opera?

Do I have pets?

To answer these questions you have two options:

1. Repeat all the information

Example:

Do they speak English?

Yes, they speak English / No, they don’t speak English

Do you live in a house?

Yes, I live in a house / No, I don’t live in a house

2 The second option is Short answers

Do they speak English?

Yes, they DO / No, they DON’T

Do you live in a house?

Yes, I DO / No, I DON’T

Do we like to do exercise?

Yes, we DO / No, we DON’T
