Comparatives, superlatives, (not) as...as

For short adjectives, we usually form comparative adjectives with -er. If an adjective ends in y the spelling changes to ie, for example:

happy - happier.

With longer adjectives, we use more (adjective) than. For example:

beautiful - more beautiful than

Remember that we use comparatives to compare to things.

Let´s see an example:

Chilis is more expensive than Vips!

Veronica is taller than Pedro . (tall)

Remember that we use the superlative to describe an object that is the most of a group.

Veronica is the tallest in the classroom.

We use (not) as ... as to say whether things are the same or different.

Example:

The fish restaurant is as expensive as the steak restaurant.

The fast food restaurant isn´t as expensive as the seafood restaurant.
