Action words tell the reader what the subject does.

Examples: read, write, talk, run, walk, etc.

Being words tell the reader what the subject has or is.

Examples: is, are, was, were, have, has, had, will have, etc.

1. Monday is my least favorite day of the week.
2. I feel extremely sleepy on Monday mornings.
3. However, sometimes Mondays can be special.
4. Important holidays take place on Mondays.
5. Columbus Day will be observed this year on Monday, October 12, 2020.
6. All students, I am sure, long for a time like this to take a break.
7. So, what are your plans for that day?
